14 years later

ONLY 14 YEARS AFTER MY LAST BLOG POST & HERE WE ARE

Well how do I explain the last 14 years? I won't go into detail, but here are some bullet points:

+I moved to Nashville in 2011

+Started dating a guy from LA (go figure) but he quickly moved to Nashville

+I moved out of the most toxic environment I have ever lived in, with Tess of all people, we haven't spoken since. Moved in with LA guy

+Dad died

+LA dude and I broke up and my friend Nicole moved in

+Started dating Dumb Dave, he also moved from LA to Nashville for me (and music LOL)

+I bought my first house

+Dave hit me and traumatized me, he went to jail, we broke up.

+Went through a bit of a dark time, but it was a lot of fun. Got super close to my now best friend Lakelyn who now has a 5 year old son.

+Met Kevin

+Did a career change and started working in the salon industry

+Some bad stuff happened and I went on a medication that ruined my life for 2 years, ending in isolation and a bad friend group, Kev stuck through it all.

+We went on a Warped Tour cruise that Cartel played

+Kev and I moved in together, he opened a bar which is now absolutely thriving

+Took me a bit but I found a job that I have been succeeding at for 3 years now, managing a barbershop/salon

+We sold my first house and bought the one we are in now, and it is perfect (besides the kitchen)

+TORNADO, our town is destroyed and two of our friends pass away.

+PANDEMIC, the world shuts down for months, but ya girl got to work (NOT from home) almost the entire time and it was truly hell on earth :)

+Got off those horrible meds and started to feel better, started therapy and losing weight

+Got engaged :) In my hometown!

+Started DJing

+Got rid of so many toxic friends and created some beautiful friendships

+My best friend Charlie moved to Chicago, and Mercedes was diagnosed with breast cancer

That leads me to this past year

WHAT A YEAR. With so many changes and challenges, it truly showed me who is there for me and the ones close to me. Mercedes is still kicking cancer's ass, she had a double mastectomy and has been vegan and sober since. We all went to Vegas for my bachelorette and it was wild. So fun but I wish my friends would have remembered my excruciating hang overs and not let me drink so much and gotten me to bed before 5 am lol. But it was a lot of fun and we laughed so much. Before that I joined Kevin on tour for a bit. I went to Atl, Louisiana, Texas. Got to see some friends and hang on the bus. Bus sleep is not what it used to be 14 years ago. I have bad vertigo now which kind of ruined my trip since I was so dizzy the whole time. I also have been djing and it is so fun. I have done about 6 gigs now. I go by SHEEMO and do mainly emo music. It is a fucking blast. Our last big ticketed event I got Max Bemis to play, which was a full circle moment for me, especially with us sharing a dressing room. This whole year has been a blast but definitely looking for some downtime in 2023. I hope I keep this going too because these are always so fun to re-read!
